Georgene Mellom was installed as president of the Rotary Club of Clover Park during ceremonies Wednesday evening at Tacoma Country & Golf Club. She succeeds Dee Ebsen who has served during the last year.
Other offices of the club installed by Tom Faubion are Randy Black, president-elect; Bob Edington, vice-president; Bonnie Boyle, secretary; Judy Maier, treasurer; and directors Bob Lawrence, Tom McClellan, Marilee Johnson, Ken Sharp, Ken Gunther, Jack Roffler and Maria Johnson. Ernie Heller served as master of ceremonies.
Clover Park Rotary Club was organized in 1982 and meets each Wednesday noon at Oakbrook Country & Golf Club. A major project of the club members has been adopting Southgate Elementary School by mentoring students as well as other support activities.
Ten past presidents of the club attended the installation program as well as Bob Martin of Gig Harbor, district governor of the 88-club district for 2010-2011, and about 60 other members of the club, spouses and friends.
