As part of community outreach Bridgeport Place holds membership in three Chambers of Commerce: Steilacoom, Lakewood, and the University Place/Fircrest Division of the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce.
To familiarize the local business community with the facilities and amenities at Bridgeport Place, an early evening Business after Hours networking event was held with members of the Steilacoom Chamber of Commerce as guests. The Wine Tasting Tour included Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio in the Parkside Lounge, Chardonnay in the Activities Center, Merlot in the Gallery, and a dessert buffet in the Private Dining Room.
Residents and 25 guests from the Steilacoom Chamber of Commerce sampled hors d’ oeuvres and wines paired to accompany the libations as they toured model apartments throughout the building before a final stop at the dessert buffet. In addition to the tours and tastings, guests were treated to complimentary 10-minute seated chair massage by Yarrow Bates, Licensed Massage Practitioner, on-staff at Bridgeport Place in the Serendipity Spa.
Bridgeport Place is owned by Soundcare, Inc. http://soundcareinc.com CEO Nola Davis and her brother Olin Ensley, floral designer extraordinaire, created an array of fabulous fresh floral designs to augment the décor for the event. The feedback from guests was that it was an eye-opening, spectacular event and as Steilacoom Chamber businessman Marion Smith stated, “Anyone who didn’t come, has no idea what they’re missing out on.” The business community savored their glimpse into “Bridgeport … Living!” Planning is underway at Bridgeport Place http://bridgeportplaceassisted.com to host similar events for both the Lakewood Chamber and the University Place/Fircrest Division of the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber.
