Obituary Notice

CahillJeanetteJeanette (Jean) Laura Cahill Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Feb. 10, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Deborah Elaine Cahill Damon, in Winters, CA. Jean was born on Jan. 7, 1923 to the late Florence Reaney Warner and Wilbur S. Warner in Bridgeport, CT. Jeanette married Lt. Roderick (Rod) Thomas Cahill (AAF, deceased 1999) on September 6, 1944. Jean and Rod adopted their daughter Deborah Elaine April 1955 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and son Roderick (Rory)EThomas Jr. Sept. 1957 in Tacoma, WA. The family resided in Lakewood, WA. Jean was very active and loved sewing, bowling, gardening, cooking, reading, playing cards (bridge), raising cocker spaniels, and being a member of “The Ladies of the Elks.” Jean is survived by daughter Deborah (Debbi) and son-in-law David R. Damon, Sr., son Roderick T. Cahill, Jr., grandsons Brenden Charles Damon (Army Specialist, wife Melinda), David Ronald Damon, Jr. (Navy, P.O.3), and Thomas Jack Damon, 16. She was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Annabelle Danger, 6, and Amelia Tempest, 2, sisters-in-law Kathleen Laflin and Sue Cahill of CT, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends. Memorial services will be on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Mountain View Garden Chapel, with reception to follow in the Willow Room.
