Rory Grindley, P.E., P.T.O.E., was recently selected as the Pierce County traffic engineer. He takes over the position following Jim Ellison’s retirement.
Grindley successfully competed against many highly qualified candidates from across the nation. He started his career in traffic engineering in the private sector after graduating from the University of Washington. He was the associate county traffic engineer for the past 19 years. Grindley is an active member of Institute of Transportation Engineers. Grindley will manage the Traffic Division which includes the Traffic Engineering and Traffic Operations sections.
