Letter: A vote for Postma

February 11, 2010 By Ben Sclair

Citizens across the country – like me – are looking for answers. They’re against the President and the Congress spending money we don’t have and continuously increasing of our huge debt. People wonder why promised jobs never appear, and they see a threat to our health system. These and other problems threaten our once prosperous and stable country, and our present Representative Adam Smith is part of the problem.

Adam Smith voted yes for cap and trade, yes for health care reform, yes for raising the debt limit, yes for stimulus money, and yes for the other big spending bills that have come up in Congress. We need representatives who will ask where all this money is coming from, what is it accomplishing, and what are the answers, because there are solutions.

James Postma – ethical, accountable, experienced, and conservative – is running for Congress in our 9th Congressional District to replace Adam Smith. He has answers. I have known Jim for thirty years and his wife, Fran, even longer. Jim will focus on principles, solid values in representing us and in voting on issues, such as stopping the cap and trade bill, tort reform, developing our own energy resources, saving our health care system, and providing incentives and stimulus for small businesses.

Jim can be reached at JamesPostma@postma.com, 253-441-0541, or P. O. Box 881300, Steilacoom WA 98388. I urge concerned citizens to help elect Jim as our next Representative in Congress.

Thank you.
