Muri to host online town hall

February 4, 2010 By Ben Sclair

Steilacoom, WA – Candidate for Congress (WA-9), Dick Muri will host an online town hall on February 9 at 8:30 PM. Constituents will be able to access the live feed from the campaign website, www.DickMuri.com or the Facebook fan page.

Dick Muri had the following to say about the online town halls, “The goal of taking town halls to the web is to make it possible for our constituents to participate and make themselves heard without leaving the comfort of their homes. I understand that the people of the 9th Congressional District are very busy and may not have the ability to attend local town hall meetings. The advantage of webcasting the meeting is being able to provide direct access to anyone with a computer in order to build relationships with our constituents. As a representative, it is my job to understand and address the needs of the citizens.”

Participants will be able to ask questions or respond though multiple venues as the town hall is in progress. They may call or text Dick, as well as post questions on the Facebook fan page, Twitter, and email. Contact information will be provided on both the website and Facebook Fan page.
