DonnerElliElli Donner 1922 – 2010 Elli Donner passed away January 31, at the Franciscan Hospice Center. She was born in Bistritz, Romania to Victor and Frieda H ttl and was the youngest of three daughters. In 1945 Elli met Douglas, the love of her life, in Sch rding, Austria and they married there in 1947. Shortly thereafter, they sailed to America from Bremerhaven, Germany and made their home in Fife and later in Tacoma, Washington for 62 years. Elli had many interests, but her greatest was caring for and being with family. Elli enjoyed traveling, especially to Palm Springs, California, where she and Douglas wintered for 25 years. Gardening and cooking were also passions of Elli’s. The family that Elli is leaving behind is her husband Douglas, daughter Alida, son Steve, daughter-in-law Sonia, and grandchildren Jonathan, Jessica, and Evan. The funeral service will be held in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home on Friday, February 5th, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice Center in University Place, Washington Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.

McLeanBonnieBonnie B. McLean Bonnie Belle Lundgren passed away January 31st. She was born in 1931 in Mount Vernon, Washington to Edna and Tony Lundgren and spent her childhood in Bellingham, Washington. She attended Bellingham High School and Western Washington University. Bonnie moved to Seattle and was employed by Simpson Timber as a receptionist. On a blind date, she met and eventually married Archie McLean and soon thereafter they moved to Los Angeles where he had been hired as a bank examiner. After a year, they returned and lived all of their lives in Lakewood, Washington. Bonnie loved dancing. She started dance lessons at age five and continued for eight years. At thirteen years old, she taught tap dance. Over the years, she enjoyed watching ballet and figure skating. Bonnie was also passionate and talented at gardening-from flowers to vegetables, she loved anything that grew. But most important of all were the relationships she cherished with her family and with her many friends. Bonnie was active in a number of social, civic and charitable organizations. She was a member of the Tacoma Junior League, Tacoma Garden Club, Tacoma Country and Golf Club, Washington Athletic Club and the Tacoma Orthopedic Guild #10. She was a Lifetime Friend of Lakewold Gardens. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Archie of 47 years and a brother James Vaughan Lundgren. Surviving family members include sister Patricia Ann Wigner of Seattle; son Scott (wife Susan); son Mark and his children Ryan, Alec, Spencer; and daughter Marsi (husband Shane) and their children Mclean and Clare. Bonnie and the family wish to thank Dr. Frank Senecal and his staff for their compassionate care during these past three years. A celebration of Bonnie’s life will occur at Lake City Community Church this Thursday, February 4th at 1:00 pm, located in Lakewood, Washington at 8810 Lawndale Avenue SW at the northeast corner of Veterans Drive and Alameda Avenue. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.

Sharon Julianna Seyler Devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away January 28th 2010. Sharon is survived by her mother, Erna Wick, Husband, Clifton Wright, Children, William, Larry, Kevin and Tamara, Five grandchildren, sister, Diane Milton, extended family and dear friends. Sharon was born April 18th 1949 in Tacoma, WA where she resided for 60 years. She worked within the Tacoma School Dist. for over 20 yrs. Sharon enjoyed life, family, planning weekend trips, baking and helping family and frinds. Sharon will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all the lives she has touched on her beautiful journey through life. Services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in the Garden Chapel.
