Approximately 300 people participated in the Steilacoom Kiwanis Club Wine Festival and Auction Friday, Jan 29, according to MC Ron Lucas. The club’s activities are focused on kids in Steilacoom and DuPont as well as members of the military police unit at Fort Lewis. The club was formed in 1993 and currently has a membership of more than 80 men and women. Meeting at Steilacoom High School every week, students are able to participate in the group’s meetings and activities by joining the Key Club.
