Letter: Coffee with Senator Mike Carrell

January 27, 2010 By Ben Sclair

I hate politics. Most business people do. However, this is why we are in this fiscal quagmire – locally and nationally. We’ve simply remained silent for too long while special interest groups have systematically curried legislation that has maimed the host that feeds them – our business sector.

But changes they are a comin’. Massachusetts was first to sound the alarm. And they got the nation’s leaders attention. But not for long. It must not end there. Our voices deserve to be heard.

How lawmakers address issues will have a dramatic impact on our nation and our state. It will also have a dramatic impact on your business.

Coffee with Senator Mike Carrell on February 2 from 7:30-8:30 am in the Goodfella’s Board Room at the Great American Casino will be an opportunity for you to sound off on your issues and concerns on state issues. It’s your opportunity to ask him to take your message back to Olympia. It’s also an opportunity to:

  • Get informed
  • Get interactive
  • Get involved

And if they don’t listen – and go about “business as usual?” How about remembering the great state of Massachusetts come election time?
