The City of Lakewood and the Clover Park School District are inextricably linked. Vote YES for the Clover Park School District bond, which focuses on offering our kids rigorous academic programs that prepare them for college, work, and life. The bond will maintain a level tax rate and will receive a $24 million match from the State. It will save money, keep kids safe by replacing aging buildings, and make the community a more desirable place to work and raise a family.
Oakwood Elementary School is in the McChord flight zone, Southgate Elementary is adjacent to railroad tracks which will carry up to 13 trains per day, Hudtloff Middle School is not up to safety, or building codes, and expansion of the highly successful International Baccalaureate Program at Harrison Preparatory, in partnership with the Clover Park Technical College, requires a new facility. Voting YES saves $7.5 million due to school consolidation, which can be returned to the classroom. Vote YES for our future.
