Join the fun at Pierce County Library System’s story times

Share the joy of reading with your young child during story times at Pierce County Library System. These free events are bursting with fun books and activities that teach children pre-reading skills and prepare them for reading success. Registration may be required. Contact library location for details. Registration begins Dec. 14.

Baby Explorers (for ages up to 2 years)

  • Lakewood Pierce County Library, 6300 Wildaire Road S.W., Tuesdays, Jan. 5 – Feb. 16, at 10:30 a.m.
  • DuPont Pierce County Library, 1540 Wilmington Drive, Thursdays, Jan. 7 – Feb. 18, at 10:30 a.m.
  • University Place Pierce County Library, 7315 27th St. W., Thursdays, Jan. 7 – Feb. 18, 10:30 a.m.

Toddler times (for ages 2 – 3 years)

  • University Place Pierce County Library, 7315 27th St. W., Tuesdays, Jan. 5 – Feb. 16, at 11:30 a.m.
  • DuPont Pierce County Library, 1540 Wilmington Drive, Wednesdays, Jan. 6 – Feb. 17, 10:30 a.m.
  • Lakewood Pierce County Library, 6300 Wildaire Road S.W., Wednesdays, Jan. 6 – Feb. 17, at 10:30 a.m.

Preschool times (for ages 3 – 6 years)

  • Lakewood Pierce County Library, 6300 Wildaire Road S.W., Mondays, Jan. 4, 11, 25, Feb. 1, 8, at 1 p.m.
  • University Place Pierce County Library, 7315 27th St. W., Tuesdays, Jan. 5 – Feb. 16, at 10:30 a.m.
  • DuPont Pierce County Library, 1540 Wilmington Drive, Wednesdays, Jan. 6 – Feb. 17, 11:30 a.m.

Family times (for families with preschool age children)

Bilingual times (for families with preschool age children — Spanish and English)
