Dr. John Walstrum (tan sport coat), president of Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, explains to members of Lakewood Families in Business how funds the group is raising at its annual chocolate auction will help a large number of children enjoy Christmas this year.
Bart Dalton (right) was auctioneer along with Dave Sclair at the event which sees everyone bring a chocolate item and then bid on other items with all proceeds going to the Clover Park Technical College Foundation. The Foundation provides gifts and clothing to children of students at the college, according to Walstrum.
Held at the home of Mo and Fereshteh Sarram, the chocolate auction raised about $3,500 this year. About 25 members and friends attended the affair. Others in the photo are (left to right) Tanya and Walt Richardson, Walstrum, Fereshtah Sarram and Gwen Young.
