Obituary Notice

JimElsnerJames G. Elsner was born Dec 14, 1957 and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack on Nov 15, 2009. Jim
attended St. Frances Cabrini grade school in Lakewood and went on to graduate from Clover Park High School in 1976. Jim is survived by his children: Philip, Jonothan, and Jessica; father: Walter L Elsner; siblings: Louise (John), Kathleen, Mike (Jody) and Tricia. Not alone into the sunset but into the company of family and friends who have gone before him. Preceded in death by mother, Phyllis in 1994 and brother-in-law Lloyd in 1995. We will all miss his infectious laugh and friendly fun-loving personality. We are happy that Jim elected to be an eye and tissue donor. Services will be held Monday, November 23 at 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini, 5505 108th St SW, Lakewood WA. Remembrances to the charity of your choice.

LARSON~1Carolyn Ann Larson “Toppy”. Toppy was born on August 27, 1943 in Lakeport, CA, the daughter of Woodrow and Minnie Watkins, passed away on November 16, 2009 at St. Claire Hospital from heart failure. She is survived by husband Larry Larson, sons Scott Palmer and Donald Palmer, 3 sisters, 1 brother, 3 step-children, and numerous grandchildren. After spending her early years bouncing around the country, the family settled in Tacoma nearly 60 years ago. Toppy was full of life and would do
anything for family and friends. Our lives will never be the same without her but her memory will never be forgotten. There will be a viewing 3-9pm, Sunday, 11/22 at Mt. View. Services will be at Mt. Duane Huss, age 76, went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2009. He was born February 13, 1933 to Edward and Margaret Huss in Sioux City, Iowa. He was prEceeded in death by his brother Larry. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Beverly; sons John and Gordon (Brenda), four daughters, Kimberly, Kristina, Lisa (Darrell), and Lori (Scott); 10 grandchildren; sister Jeanette (Harold), brother Lyle (Collette); and numerous nieces and nephews. Duane will be remembered for his humor, devotion to his family, and love for Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed. SILVAJ~1Jesse Silva, 85, of Tacoma, WA, was born in Dongan Hills, Staten Island, NY on May 10, 1924 and passed away Nov. 17, 2009. Jesse served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, earning a Purple Heart and Silver Star as a Tech. Sergeant during the WWII and Korean Wars. He was an active member of the Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Jesse enjoyed his family, playing golf and fishing. He is survived by his significant other of 30 years, Betty Smith; daughters Joan Bates, Nancy Huseman and Pam Lavin; brother Peter Silva, sister Marjorie Rohn; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park on Nov. 21th at 1:30pm. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252. MCDONO~1Mary Ann (Erickson) McDonough passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 16, 2009. Born in University Place on June 30, 1936, she was a lifetime resident of University Place where she was raised on the family farm at 3708 Bridgeport Way W. She served the University Place School District as a bus driver for 18 years. She is survived by her son, Roy Todd Bond (Paula), daughters, Becky Allen (Steve) and Cindy McKeen (Dave) along with 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice of Tacoma. Memorial services to be held at Trinity Church on Saturday, November 21st at 11 am.
