Puppy Linux Demo at the InterGenerational Computer Clubhouse

November 17, 2009 By Ben Sclair

There is a lot of talk of Windows 7. Unfortunately, many computers cannot run the new operating system. Instead of sending that computer to a dusty closet, or worse, a trash can, think of infusing it with a fast, free, operating system that will amaze you. This is Puppy Linux. Why not keep that old computer running for your kids or for a neighbor?

Attend an informational program this Friday, November 20 at the Intergenerational Clubhouse will feature computers running Puppy (stocked with cool games) as well as frequent demonstrations on how to get and install Puppy. Bring your laptop or CPU (we will have monitor, cords, keyboard & mouse) and see if adopting Puppy Linux is right for you. Snacks, games and activities are always a part of the I.G. Clubhouse. The InterGenerational Computer Clubhouse for all ages, is an outreach of Pierce College, and is located at Lakewood Presbyterian Church, 8601 104th St SW in Lakewood.
