The Old Chevron Station on Gravelly Lake Drive has Finally Come Down

November 10, 2009 By Ben Sclair

Chevron owns a corner at Gravelly Lake and Alfaretta Street. The old gas station closed it doors many years ago but the building and equipment has remained. It is been considered by many to be a bit of an eyesore, especially due to the ‘temporary’ cyclone fencing and collections of wind blown trash and shopping carts.

Demolition permits were appoved on September 22 – and today the building began to come down. Stay tuned to see what happens next.
