Tacoma-Pierce County WA – The Health Department H1N1/Swine Flu vaccine clinic will be held as scheduled at Clover Park High School on Saturday, Nov. 7. The clinic location is Clover Park High School, 11023 Gravelly Lake Drive SW, Lakewood, WA. Hours for the clinic are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. or when all the vaccine has been distributed, whichever is sooner. Parking for the clinic will be available only in the Harry Lang Stadium parking lot, off of 112th Street.
The vaccine will be given free of charge. The clinic will only serve individuals ages two years to 24 years, and pregnant women. Most of the H1N1 Flu vaccine available will be in nasal spray form. Individuals with underlying health conditions will need to check with their medical provider to obtain the injectable H1N1 vaccine.
Children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian; however, students in grades 10th -12th may attend on their own with a signed consent form (available for download on the school district’s Web site, www.cloverpark.k12.wa.us)
Medical Reserve Corps and Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department volunteers will be working at the clinic. Continue to check with local pharmacies, health systems and medical care providers as they continue to slowly receive their shipments of vaccine due to the national shortage. It is expected Pierce County will eventually have enough vaccine for all who need it.Print This Post
