Robert Russell Holland. Born 3/17/1943 in Tacoma, WA and passed away 10/29/2009 in Tacoma, WA. Robert is survived by his significant other Constance Holland; 2 sons, Dean (Kathleen), Greg (Amy); 2 daughters, Brenda McCloud, Lisa (Dan) Hilligoss; mother, Jean Swanson; step-father, Herb Swanson; 9 grandchildren; 4 sisters. He worked his whole life as a welder and spent his retirement years building miniature train sets. He loved animals; especially his cat “Tucker”. Service will be held 10AM Tuesday, 11/3 at Lakeview Chapel, 4606 108th St. SW, Lakewood, WA. Service with military honors to be held 1PM 11/3 at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA. Jacklyn Jean Shephard, born April 17th 1954, passed away peacefully at home on October 17th 2009. Many knew her as the “Origami Lady” and treasured her famous “flapping paper cranes”. Jackie found much pleasure in the simple joys of life and strived to share this happiness with everyone she encountered. Her soul will be met by her Father, Wallace “Buzz” W. Greer; Paternal Grandmother, Helen “Patsy” Case; Maternal Grandmother, Vergie Jensen; Paternal Grandfather, John “Jack” Greer; and Maternal Grandfather, Jesse “Curly” Smith. She is survived by her Husband, Glenn A. Shephard; Daughter, Marlaina J. Shephard; Mother, Betty J. Greer; Sister, Lacricia “Chris” A. Coffey; and a large extended family. Memorial services will be held on November 14th 2009 at 1pm at the South Lakeshore Christian Church, 1740 S 84th St. Tacoma, WA 98444. Henrietta V. Stewart Mrs. Henrietta V. Stewart, born Nov. 4, 1925, passed away on Oct. 25. She moved to Tacoma in 1964 and taught music in the Tacoma Public Schools for 20 years and private piano lessons for over 50 years. She was an active member at Allen AME church for 40 years, and one of the founding members of the first State of Washington Chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Jefferson and Gail Stewart; three sons, George, Vincent and David Stewart; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
