On Tuesday, Nov. 3, Steilacoom residents have an opportunity to make a statement with their ballots. They will have the power to reject town leaders who use their public office for personal gain and send a signal to future small-town politicians that this won’t be tolerated here.
If a candidate wants to use their influence to lobby the town to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to quiet their neighborhood and improve the value of their personal and investment property, let’s tell them “don’t do it here.”
And if that candidate then tries to get zoning laws changed so they can overdevelop their newly-appreciated investment property, let’s tell them “not here.” Let’s tell them to go peddle their influence in other communities, where they own dozens of rental and investment properties, but not here.
Let’s vote for Steve Stovall.
