October 11, 2009 By Ben Sclair

GrafCarolynCarolyn Louise Graf (Bain) The family of Carolyn Louise Graf is sad to announce her unexpected passing on September 17, 2009, following knee replacement surgery. Carolyn was born the first child of Herb and Betty Bain, November 17, 1946 in Portland, Oregon. She will be remembered by her mother Betty; husband and best friend of 44 years Doug; son Marty (Jen); daughter Julie (Shane) Stacy; grandsons William and Jackson; granddaughters Westley and Savannah; sister Christy (Dan); brother Robert (Leslie) brothers-in-law Donald (Judy) and David along with their children, special family friend Elaine Osage, and many other family members. Carolyn had a passion for life and a love of creativity. Her career of 28 years teaching music was followed by a life of hobbies including knitting, sewing, scrap booking, skiing, gardening and a new business started with her husband, Classic Reflection Coachworks. Carolyn loved relaxing at our beach cabin on the coast. She was an active member at Mt. Cross Lutheran Church, and a lifetime member of Camp Fire. Carolyn was a beautiful and gifted person, honest, generous and caring. During the last few weeks of her life, we asked all to pray for a miracle, we now know that miracle we were praying for happened 62 years ago. A musical celebration for Carolyn will be held Saturday Oct. 17, 2pm, at Mount Cross Lutheran Church located at 8902 40th Street W., University Place, Washington 98466. Reception will follow. Please sign online guestbook at www.mountainviewtacoma.com.
