Click! Cable TV has received several calls from concerned customers who have questions about the validity of door-to-door salespeople representing cable television competitor Comcast.
“I have talked to Comcast and verified that the company does have a door-to-door sales campaign going on right now,” said Diane Lachel, Click! Network government and community relations manager. “The description of some of the people who are knocking on our customers’ doors, however, does not seem to match the type of person that would represent a company like Comcast. We advise our customers to use caution when a salesperson comes to their door.”
Click! also received questions from customers about statements that were allegedly made by Comcast salespeople, including:
- “Comcast purchased Click! and you should switch to avoid the rush.” This is false. The City of Tacoma owns Click! Network, which includes Click! Cable TV.
- “Comcast provides Click! its programming and always has, so you don’t need the middle-man anymore.” This is false. Click! purchases its programming from a national cable programming cooperative.
