Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Thursday, August 27, in memory of U. S. Army First Sergeant Jose S. Crisostomo, 59, of Spanaway, who died August 18 in Kabul, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle.
Please notify your staff and all of your field offices and facilities around the state.
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business Thursday, or first thing Friday morning.
Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.

Why is it NOW that She Who Shall Not Be Named orders flags at half mast when the brave soldier died on the 18th of August? Seems more like a half mast for Teddy to me!
