MSgt. John Dustin Koeppen, Ret. Passed away August 8, 2009. He was born August 10, 1930 to Mary Elizebeth and John Forrest Koeppen in Marion, Indiana. After high school, John enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he became a pilot. He retired after 26 years. Next John earned his A&P license from Clover Park Technical College, where he also taught Auto Mechanics. After teaching he became the head of maintenance at the Narrows Airport. He retired after a few years thinking it was for good. Shortly after that he went to work for The Boeing Co. to do the work he most enjoyed. John was a customer support rep., working closely with the customer and inspecting the airplane as it moved down the assembly line. After Boeing, he was a customer rep. for a small airline starting up on the East coast. Loving the outdoors as he did, John was an avid hunter and fisherman. He so looked forward to each hunting season (deer, elk). He also loved flying his airplane until he felt he was “getting too old.” He also enjoyed woodworking. John is survived by his wife Charmagne, and step-children Collette Marie Rice (Lenny), Vincent
Michael Willard, and Christine Barbara Moore (Gary). He leaves his brother Richard Koeppen (Barbara) of Cape Cod, MA, and his sister Rebecca Koeppen (Gary) of Colorado, and grandchildren, Kelsey and Emilly Moore, and Nicole Rice. John will be greatly missed by all. There will be a memorial service Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, 3:00 p.m., in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Cemetery, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd., in Lakewood. His son’s Anthony Micheles, Ricky Micheles, da ughters Sherri Micheles, Rheanna Micheles. Brother Bob Micheles, sisters, Patti and Diana. Ron was a devoted longshoreman, a loving father and husband. Michael Don Wells 60, born December 5th, 1948 in Rapid City, SD, passed away Sunday August 9th in Tacoma, WA. Mike and his family came to Tacoma in 1964 where he graduated from Stadium HS in 1968. After serving in the Army he worked for Milwaukee Railroad until starting with the Boeing Co. in 1979. Mike was still employed by Boeing and was looking forward to retirement this year. Mike and Judy celebrated their 37th year of marriage in March. Mike enjoyed being a clown in the Shriners where he was known to everyone as Lu We Gi. He also enjoyed boating and tinkering around in his garage fixing whatever anybody brought to him. Mike would help anyone with anything they needed done. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mike leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Judy, daughters Cortney (Joel) Young, Michelle (Mike) Roll, grand kids Brock, Saylor, Irish, Kylie and Carson. He is preceded in death by his father Don, mother Marguerite, and brother Randy. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 15th at 2:00 pm at Mt. View Funeral Home with a reception following in the Willow Room. In remembrance of Mike (Lu We Gi) donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.Print This Post
