Earl Richard Reinke (TPD) Earl Reinke, age 75, was born in Snohomish, WA on November 15, 1933 and passed away in Tacoma on August 7, 2009 after a short illness. He grew up in Tacoma, attending Concordia Lutheran School and graduating from Lincoln High School (class of 1954), where he met his wife of 53 years, Donna (Kennel) Reinke. After graduation, he was on active duty in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hector in Asia. After being honorably discharged, Earl returned to Tacoma and joined the Tacoma Police Department in 1959. He retired in 1980 after 21 years of service. In retirement, Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf tournaments with his police “buddies”, metal scrapping and playing the slots at local casinos. Earl is survived by his wife Donna, two beautiful daughters Dr. Robin Elizabeth Reinke of Tacoma and Rhonda Elaine Reinke-Sund of Yelm, a brother Ralph Reinke of Tacoma, two sisters Mary Grbich and Alice Moss of Tacoma, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister, and his loyal hunting dog Skipper. The family would like to thank Dr. Paula Schulze for 25 years of excellent care. We love and appreciate you. We’d also like to thank the wonderful staff of doctors and nurses at Allenmore Hospital ICU Department. At Earl’s request, there will be no service. An open house for friends and family in remembrance of Earl’s life will be held at the home of Dr. Robin Rienke 5322 23rd Ave NE in Tacoma on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Ralph Eugene Wooldridge Died peacefully at home Wednesday, August 5, 2009 after fighting a courageous year and a half battle with cancer. Ralph was born in Bronough, MO July 7, 1937. Before retiring Ralph worked for Franklin Pierce School District 20 years. Baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness over 55 years ago he enjoyed his activity in the ministry. Ralph enjoyed playing golf, playing the guitar and doing things with his family. He never lost his sense of humor and he will be dearly missed. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years Tillie. Two daughters; Yvonne (Mark) Gibson of Portland, OR and Melinda Wooldridge of Tacoma. Three grandchildren Sarah, Mark Jr. and Brianna Gibson of Portland, OR. One brother Glenn Wooldridge of Moundville, MO, one sister Ester Nelson of Collingsville, OK., nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 2308 S. Cushman in Tacoma.
