Lakewood, Wash. – August 1, 2009 was a date Lakewood Fire District 2 and Assistant Chief Greg Hull will never forget. This noted Chief Hull’s 40th anniversary with Lakewood Fire, an anniversary no other employee has celebrated.
When Greg started at Lakewood Fire, the department looked quite different than it does today. At that time, there were just 24 full-time firefighters, while today there are 109. In 1969, crews ran approximately 650 calls per year, while today it is nearly 10,000.
Greg has seen Lakewood Fire District 2 change vastly through the last 40 years and is greatly appreciated for his hard work and dedication. He is supported by his loving wife, Louise, six children, and eleven grandchildren.

While Greg is proud to have lived and served in Lakewood his entire life, it is we as a community who should be proud that we have had him here serving us. Congratulations Greg on your milestone and good fortune on your journey to the next one.
