Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Monday, August 10, in memory of U. S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Douglas M. Vose III, 38, of Concrete, who died July 29 in Kabul Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit.
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business Monday, or first thing Tuesday morning. Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
