Lakewood Playhouse Presents ANGRY HOUSEWIVES

July 1, 2009 By Ben Sclair

Lakewood, WA., Lakewood Playhouse begins its 2009-2010 season with a special production of ANGRY HOUSEWIVES, written by A.M. Collins and music by Chad Henry.

The story centers on Bev, Carol, Wendi and Jetti who are good friends all restless to change their lives. They form a punk rock band “Angry Housewives” and take their local club scene by storm gaining new self-respect and renewed respect from the men who love them. Though there is a warning for some rough language, ANGRY HOUSEWIVES is sure to delight you with its hilarity and catchy music.

The play, directed by Julie Halpin, opens on July 17 and runs through August 2. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM with Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $24.00 General Admission, $21.00 Senior and Military, and $18.00 age 25 and under. There will be one special Pay-What-You-Can performance on Thursday, July 24th at 8:00 PM. A special Actor Benefit matinee will be held on Saturday, August 1st at 2:00 PM. Parental guidance is suggested for harsh language.

Lakewood Playhouse is located at 5729 Lakewood Towne Center Blvd, next to the Pierce Transit Center in the heart of the Lakewood Towne Center. For reservations and tickets call the Lakewood Playhouse Box Office at 253-588-0042 or visit www.lakewoodplayhouse.org.
