More than 300 Clover Park School District special education athletes participated in the third annual Track Stars Invitational June 10 at Harry Lang Stadium.

The meet featured running, wheel chair races and softball throwing events. Volunteers from McChord Air Force Bases’ 62nd Mission Support Group passed out ribbons, cheered on athletes and assisted with events.

“This event is very special because it gives our special education students the opportunity to show off their skills and be acknowledged for their hard work,” said Ann Almlie, director of special education. “Our students and staff look forward to this event all year and it’s a great way to celebrate the end of the school year.”
