hill-headd-gloriaGloria Hill-Headd She was born in Savannah, Georgia on January 9th 1935 to John Gross and Eula Mae Davis. On June 8th 2009 she went to join her two children Ernest Jr and Adrienne Hill who preceded her in death. She was united with Charles Headd on December 26th 1992. She worked at Tacoma General Hospital for eighteen years and retired in January 1993. Our beloved mother had 7 wonderful children: Maurice Hill (Brenda Smith), Ernest Jr (deceased), Chelan Henley, Karen Salter, Adrienne Hill (deceased), Jacqueline Keeys (Lester), and Darlene Hill. Five precious grandchildren/great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St John Baptist Church. The family would like to extend their heart-felt appreciation to Dr. Francis Senecal for the care he provided our mother. Viewing will be held at Mt View Funeral Home this Friday from 2:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Services will be held this Saturday at St John Baptist Church in Tacoma, WA at 2:00p.m. with graveside to follow. whitman-beatrice“Betty” – Beatrice Ione Whitman Of Puyallup, Wa. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother. Loved by all who knew her because she loved and was kind to all whom she knew. She lived through the great depression and World War II and survived both polio and cancer. She was a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup for over 30 years. She claimed to have lived a good long life because she enjoyed the people around her and was an example of a gentle spirit with faith and joy in her heart. She went home to be with her lord on June 6, 2009. She joins her husband Henry who preceded her in April 2003. Betty and Henry were members of the Good Sam Club and traveled the world in their retirement years. She is survived by a sister Darleen L. Milligan of Everett, Wa, and sons – Sheldon Whitman and family of Renton, Wa, and John Whitman and family of Hermiston, Or. She greeted 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren into the family. A service will be held 3pm, Sat., June 13, in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home. Arragements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 253-584-0252.
