Clover Park School District (CPSD) will stream next Monday’s Clover Park and Lakes High School graduations live on the district Web site, www.cloverpark.k12.wa.us, thanks to financial support from the Army. Tacoma’s A.C.T. Video Productions will provide the live feed and record both ceremonies.
In addition to the live feed, graduates with a deployed parent have the opportunity to record a special two-minute message, which will be packaged on a DVD along with a recording of the ceremony.
“We’re very happy that we are able to provide this service to our military families,” said Lynn Wilson, CPSD director of finance and technology. “Graduations are very important milestones that no parent should have to miss.”
Clover Park School District has videotaped its graduation ceremonies for more than 10 years and, for the past three years, provided an opportunity for students to record messages to deployed parents. This is the first year the district will stream the ceremonies live on the Web.
Clover Park and Lakes High School seniors graduate Monday, June 15 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively at the Tacoma Dome. A recorded version of the ceremonies will be posted on the CPSD Web site the week of June 15 and will be available for 90 days.
