QFC stores have selected the Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington State as the recipient of their check stand charity donation campaign. QFC has 74 stores, 69 in Western, WA and 5 in Portland, OR. From now until July 4, 2009 customers who shop at QFC stores in Washington will have the opportunity to donate to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington State Association.
The idea is simple; customers may choose to donate to the Boys & Girls Clubs while at the register by telling their cashier that they would like to purchase a scan tag in the amount of $1, $5, or $10 increments or by dropping their donation into a container. Customers who utilize reusable shopping bags may also donate their 3 cent credit as well.
