From Prom Night 2009 – ‘Crashes Aren’t Accidents‘:
“Remember: Every 32 minutes someone is the United States will die in an alcohol-related fatality. So, do your part to not become a statistic, DON’T DRINK & DRIVE.”
And yet we have people within our fine city who think the most harmful thing are a couple of casinos! Get a grip already! Casinos don’t kill like booze does! We should be pressuring our legislators to really get tough on drunk driving. Focus should be on things that kill and are illegal NOT legal law abiding private businesses. It is all about personal responsibility; if you gamble you money away = your problem. Drunks killing people with cars = everyone’s problem.
Thank you Suburban Times for publishing this article! More kids need to be exposed to the reality of what drinking & driving is about and if it is shocking to them even better, maybe they will remember the consequences.
