Rain was predicted for Tuesday evening’s concert. Fortunately it didn’t happen.
Just to be sure, though, SHS concert directors played it “safe” and re-scheduled the annual spring concert, held May 19, for indoors: specifically in the SHS’ Commons.
The advantages?
Umbrellas were not necessary, and best of all (for anyone who’s attended Pioneer Orchard Park concerts), no distracting train whistles!
Concert-goers enthusiastically applauded the musical entertainment provided during the hour and a half-long program that showcased choral, jazz and symphonic music.
The evening’s program also whetted listeners’ appetites for more: specifically for Chicago-style pizza, rumored to be served with generous helpings of Chicago-style Jazz at the May 29 concert.
The performance runs from 6:30-8 p.m. that evening. Tickets are $15 and $10, and may be purchased by phoning the Box Office at 253-732-9690 or from SHS Band or Choir students.
