A weekend of perfect weather greeted about 50 well-wishers at Saturday morning’s American Lake Park Boat Launch Dedication. Several city, county and a few state dignitaries presided over the dedication.
After a short speech by Lakewood Mayor Doug Richardson, a ceremonial ribbon was cut to officially open the boat launch to traffic. First up was a Lakewood Police boat, followed by two car/boat combo’s then two floatplanes.
In honor of the opening, the city waived all launch fees for the weekend. For more pictures from the dedication, see below.
