Addie J. (Anderson) Rodgers was born in Spanaway, WA on July 15, 1929. Our sweet and loving mother and friend left to join our Lord on April 19, 2009. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, three brothers, two sisters, her husband of 43 years Everett Rodgers and son-in-law Richard Lipp. She will remain in the hearts and memories of daughters Sharon Lipp of Tacoma, Dorothy Warrum (David) of Tacoma, Barbara Rodgers of Tacoma, son Everett Rodgers residing in California, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many friends. During her full and vibrant life Addie enjoyed traveling. After her husband Everett’s retirement, they reveled in the freedom of traveling throughout the country. She spent many calm Summers here in Washington, and Winters 4-wheeling in the deserts of Arizona! Addie’s greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She shared much of her time with them hiking, camping, fishing and enjoying the beauties of nature. Addie also enjoyed reading. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the loving and wonderful caregivers of Pioneer Place who helped our mother on her journey through Alzheimers. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Association Western and Central Washington State Chapter, ATTN: DEVELOPMENT DEPT Alzheimer’s Association, 12721 30th Avenue NE, Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98125.
