The Clover Park Rotary Club has won a Community Leadership Award through the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) for their work at Southgate Elementary School. This past year, the club has devoted its service project efforts to helping Southgate in three main areas of emphasis – tutoring and mentoring, mental health, and facilities and grounds. Just this month, members of the club donated their time at Southgate to complete the facilities portion of this effort, including landscaping and playground equipment. A work party on April 4th was the culmination of those efforts.
This distinguished honor will be awarded at the WASA awards breakfast Friday, May 15th at 7:30 AM at Fife School District.
