Larson to tend goal for Waldorf College

April 15, 2009 By Ben Sclair

Olivia LarsonOlivia Larson, Steilacoom High School goal keeper, has signed a national letter of intent to play for Waldorf College, in Forest City, Iowa. In addition to playing soccer, Larson has also been offered a $25,000 scholarship plus a $5,000 merit scholarship per year.

Larson played both Varsity and Junior Varsity at Steilacoom High, at Pioneer Middle School and more than 10 years with the Lakewood Soccer Club.

Looking back on her high school playing days Olivia notes, “My favorite memories would have to be the team pasta dinners! Great food and people you love! What more could you as for? Haha! Oh! and definitely the bus rides to and from games, jamming out to Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson, always the best! Last but not least, we cannot forget Coachie Poo (Dan McLaughlin) and all of his wild antics. This man is the most goofiest big kid you will ever meet! I never would have gotten this far had it not been for my great coaches, including Lee Lynden, Mark Brinkhause (LSC) and Dan McLaughlin (SHS).”

Best of luck Olivia.
