Credit Union breaks ground on new location

April 9, 2009 By Ben Sclair

acu-ft-lewis-brFort Lewis will have its third America’s Credit Union branch location by the end of the year.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place this morning (April 9) on North Fort, next door to the mini mall on A Street. CEO Kenneth Leonard stated, “Feedback from our military members revealed their preference for a North Fort location. This new branch will be fully staffed, Monday through Friday with the possibility of Saturday hours in the future. The struggling economy brings many uncertainties but ACU remains strong and members can look to us for continued stability and healthy lending practices.”

The North Fort Lewis branch will be a full-service location and is slated to open September 2009. The site is located on A Street, between 41st Division Drive and 17th Street, next to the AAFES Shopette.
