Wayne M. Haverly May 25, 1927 ~ March 31, 2009 Wayne, formally of Tacoma, passed away peacefully at his home in Forks, WA surrounded by his family. He was a ceramic tile contractor for 40 years in Tacoma. During the summers he enjoyed working in the commercial fishing industry in Alaska. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Elaine, daughters Debby (Frank) Teachout of Forks, Kathy (John) Harris of Lewiston, ID and Nancy (Curt) West of Soldotna, AK. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a brother Cameron. Viewing: 4pm-9pm, Monday, April 6, 2009 at Mt. Loretta ArmstrongLoretta Armstrong Was born in Mannheim, Germany on December 2, 1930 to Karl and Bertha Rottmann. She met and married Milton J. Armstrong and they went on to enjoy 60 years together, spending the last 47 years in Tacoma. She passed away on April 3, 2009 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Loretta was the devoted mother of four children, the grandmother of nine, and the great-grandmother of three. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, and reading. She also managed a ladies apparel store for many years. Loretta is survived by her husband Milton J. Armstrong, son Richard L. Armstrong wife Cheri, Monica Stevens Joe Stevens, Diana Affeldt, Carol Lewis husband Vince. Brother Karlheinz Rottmann friend Hannelore, niece Monika Blum husband Rolf, all of Mannheim Germany. She is also survived by grandchildren Richard J. and Daniel Armstrong, Moeshea Stevens, Jason and Dylan Hellwich, Bryce and Ryan Affeldt, Marcea and Shiann Lewis, great-grandchildren Richard, Augustus, and Zyir, and lifelong friend Lawrence Castleman. She was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Bertha Rottmann, sister Elsa Spitz, son-in-law Steve Affeldt, and lifelong friend Erika Castleman. Services will be held 2 PM Thursday, April 9, 2009 in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd., Lakewood WA 98499. Reception will follow at the Chapel. The family would like to thank the Weatherly Inn and their staff for all the loving care they provided Loretta. Maria CavinMaria Antonia Cavin Our beloved mother took her journey to Heaven 4/1/2009. She was born 11/19/1925 in Trenton, NJ to Vito and Angela (Grande) Annicchiarico. She was a Lt. in the Army Nurse Corps (’48 – O52) and a Korean War veteran in the 8055 M.A.S.H. Maria was an RN at MAMC for 22 years, retiring in ’92. She was a resident of Lakewood for over 45 years. Her later years were spent enjoying the companionship of her children and little dog, Molly. She was preceded in death by daughter Sharon and husband A.D. Cavin, Jr., and leaves behind children Sharlene Moats of Florida, A.D. Cavin of Lakewood, Steven Cavin of California, and Susan Thompkins of Tacoma, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:30pm 4/6/2009, and a Funeral Mass at 11am on 4/7/2009 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 757 138th St. S., Tacoma WA 98444. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Lakewood. Mother’s smile and laughter will remain with us always. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home 253-584-0252.
