The Healthy Marriage/Responsible Fatherhood Program of Lakewood will begin another series of 6 classes that offer tools and skills for healthy relationships. In six, two hour sessions called The Strongest Link: The Couple, participants are offered tools and skills for better communication, conflict resolution, an awareness of family background, money management and how to keep the relationship alive over the years. These classes will be held on 6 successive Tuesday nights from April 7th through May 12th at the Gary and Carol Milgard HOPE Boys and Girls Club, 10402 Kline St. SW in Lakewood. The classes are free of charge and free meals and free child care are also provided.
The Healthy Marriage/Responsible Fatherhood Program is a partially federally funded program through The Administration for Children and Families in partnership with The Metropolitan Development Council here in Pierce County. The program is based on the premise that if we can strengthen the relationships of couple and families that it does indeed strengthen communities. We encourage couples and singles who are looking ways of strengthening relationships to attend these classes.
