Reservations are being taken now for Communities in Schools of Lakewood’s (CISL) Champions for Youth Breakfast on Wednesday, March 25. New Superintendent for Public Instruction Randy Dorn is this year’s featured speaker.
CISL’s annual Champions for Youth Breakfast recognizes its partners (individuals and businesses) and obtains continued support for its efforts to support Lakewood youth. The breakfast begins at 7 a.m. at the Old Country Buffet in the Lakewood Towne Center.
Randy Dorn is Washington state’s 15th superintendent of public instruction. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction supports the state’s 295 school districts and nine educational service districts. The office administers basic education programs and implementation of K-12 education reform to more than one million students in the state.
There is no charge to attend; however a minimum donation of $50 is respectfully requested. All funds go toward CISL After-School Programs, Readiness to Learn and Champions Mentor Programs, assisting program students and their families. Corporate tables are available.
