Well, we sure have come full circle, have we not? It’s amazing to me that people who are willing to the “let everything hang out” philosophy in advertising and in movies and TV should be distressed by a mother who is providing her child the best start possible. I nursed six children. Never gave one of them a bottle – they are in their fifties now, and they won’t thank me for mentioning this, but they’ve all enjoyed excellent health. We just tossed a blanket over our shoulders, and no one was bothered, though the baby got very warm, sometimes. Now, baby supply stores have a darling little cape that covers everything and doesn’t suffocate anybody.
Kudos to Tammy Green. And to everyone who professes distress at actually catching sight of this activity (gasp), try to find a meaningful occupation for your mind. We’ll all appreciate it.
