Lakes High School is hosting a “Lakes Way” family forum Sunday, March 15 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the high school, 10320 Farwest Drive SW in Lakewood. The event is open to students, parents and community members, and will focus on building a resilient school community.
“This is the first event that brings all of our stakeholders together to create the vision for how we want to work, communicate and excel at Lakes,” said Karen Mauer-Smith, assistant principal.
The forum will focus on strengthening the school community as students and staff move into the first phase of their new school building. Staff members and student leaders are planning the event. Attendees will learn about the “Lakes Way” and help set goals to create a positive learning community. The information and insight brought forth at the forum will be used to plan another forum in May.
Students groups will perform and ice cream sundaes will be served.
