People will learn what is normal in memory changes and how to keep their memories in good shape during a free program at Lakewood Pierce County Library, 6300 Wildaire Road S.W. on Wednesday, March 11, 10 a.m. ‚Äì Noon.
Dr. Laura Baker offers support, information and resources for people wanting to help themselves and their loved ones with the issues of aging and memory.
She works as a research neuropsychologist with the Memory Wellness Program located at Veteran’s Administration Healthcare System in Tacoma and Seattle and as an associate professor at the University of Washington.
Baker has researched the connection between memory impairment and insulin resistance, and diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease. She gives presentations to professionals in the health care and research fields across the U.S. and at international conventions and conferences.
