Lakewood area residents are invited to attend Clover Park School District’s Showcase 2009‚ÄîLearning with Technology. The free event is set for Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Park Lodge Elementary School (6300 100th St. SW in Lakewood).
Through displays and presentations, students and staff will demonstrate first hand the power of technology in the learning process.
“We want to show the community how we are integrating technology with classroom instruction,” said George Luginbill, director of educational technology in the district’s Information Technology Services department. “The showcase is also an opportunity for the district to show how technology levy dollars are being used in classrooms.”
The showcase will feature PowerPoint presentations, early reading programs, science experiment applications, demonstrations by students in vocational graphics, the use of intelligent keyboards and digital camcorders, smart tablets and classroom responders‚Äîjust to name a few.
