Clover Park Technical College Board Chair Mary Moss, the Board of Trustees, and Clover Park Technical College President Dr. John Walstrum are pleased to welcome Bruce Lachney to its Board of Trustees. Lachney’s appointment was announced February 9th by Governor Gregoire’s office.
Lachney currently serves as an elected member of the Eatonville School Board of Directors and is a former appointed member of the Pierce County Planning Commission. A professional pilot, farmer, and educational advocate Lachney brings a wealth of technical information as well as a life time of support for K-12 and post-secondary education. Lachney’s professional expertise as a pilot was one of the many reasons why Governor Gregoire made the appointment, given Clover Park Technical College’s FAA-certified professional pilot program at its South Hill Campus.
“Bruce Lachney will make an outstanding trustee given his commitment to educational excellence and professional expertise as a pilot, farmer, and conservationist. Our college is appreciative of the Governor’s decision to appoint Mr. Lachney to our Board of Trustees,” said Dr. John Walstrum, Clover Park Technical College President.
Lachney resides with his family on their 94-acre farm in Eatonville. Lachney remarked, “I would like to thank Governor Gregoire for this appointment as I am honored to have the opportunity to advocate for an outstanding two year college and ensure that the Governor’s commitment to our two year colleges is fulfilled.”
Lachney awaits confirmation by the State Senate.Print This Post
