What’s the significance of “three cups of Tea”?
Readers of the book by the same name will learn the meaning of that custom as well as have an opportunity to learn about different varieties of tea at the upcoming Tea Time at Steilacoom.
Tea Time is just one of the many programs and events being held by Pierce County Libraries between now and March as part of Pierce County Reads, 2009. Brochures, listing all the events, are available at all PC Libraries.
During “Tea Time” LaDonna Olmstead of “Tea, Madame” in Sumner will talk about the different varieties of tea: red, white, black and green teas, and where this popular beverage ingredient is grown.
Tea Time in Steilacoom is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31 at the Library, 2950 Steilacoom Blvd., Steilacoom. Please phone 588-1452 for more information.
