Lakewood’s Clover Park Rotary Club selected Judge Ernest Heller as Rotarian of the Quarter. Judge Heller goes the extra mile in supporting the Club’s community improvement projects. The Club’s main project is supporting Southgate Elementary School’s children and their families. Rotary’s Southgate efforts include a mentorship program, a recreational area improvement project, winter coats for kids drive and the distribution of holiday food baskets to student’s families. Mr. Heller offers his time and counsel to these projects and many others.
Judge Heller has been Lakewood’s Municipal Court Judge for the past eight years, a Lakewood resident for the past 30 years and a Rotarian for the past six years. He joined Rotary because he wanted to give back to the community that has supported him all through the years. In addition to Rotary, Judge Heller is active with the Lakewood Community Theater. Mr. Heller, considers the Arts an important part of the culture of our community and encourages everyone to support all of the Arts including the upcoming MLK celebration on January 17.
The Judge’s selection as Rotarian of the Quarter is well deserved. Anyone interested in learning more about Rotary and the projects that are so important to Judge Heller are encouraged to attend one of the Club’s weekly meetings any Wednesday at noon at the Oakbrook Golf and Country Club.Print This Post
