Hill Ward update

November 18, 2008 By Ben Sclair

The final phase of the Hill Ward restoration area in Fort Steilacoom Park began Monday, November 17, 2008. The construction is expected to last through the end of the year and various elements of the renovation project may impact access through the site during this time period. Bikers, walkers and runner should use care and caution when approaching this area. All park users should be aware that alternate routes of travel around Lake Waughop and on the paths above the lake may be necessary.

Thank you for your patience and consideration as we complete this important community project. Any questions should be directed to the Lakewood Parks and Recreation Department at 253-589-2489.
