Clover Park School District’s four middle schools are working together on the second-annual showcase series “Four schools, one vision: Building community through the celebration of academic achievement.”
The first showcase of the 2008-09 school year was held at Woodbrook Middle School, where students shared pivotal moments in their lives. Topics ranged from childhood illnesses to family deaths and school challenges.
“The showcases are designed to celebrate the personal academic achievements of our students,” said Hudtloff Middle School teacher Michael Lauritzen. “The assignments have rallied communication around classroom work and have allowed us insight into the brilliant minds of our students.”
The second showcase–“My Poetry,” is planned for Jan. 14, 2009, at Hudtloff. For more information on the showcase series, contact Lauritzen at 583-5400.Print This Post
