LAKEWOOD, WA – This coming fall, mark your calendars for the weekend of November 7th through the 9th for the highly anticipated Beautiful Tables Showcase at Lakewold Gardens. This annual event gives local designers, professional and novice, the opportunity to show off their creativity with unique and artistic table settings. A holiday favorite among our visitors, this event honors Eulalie Wagner, the former owner and visionary behind the Gardens and a consummate gardener and hostess.
Over the course of three days, the Wagner House will be taken over by dozens of these beautiful table displays for guests to admire. “This event is a wonderful way to start the holiday season,” says Stephanie Walsh, Executive Director, “I always look forward to the visitors’ delight at what these creative designers come up with.”
This event is also a competition for the designers who will be awarded with top honors in four categories: Formal, Contemporary, Holiday and Whimsical. Additionally, the People’s Choice Award is decided at the end of the event, after each visitor has cast a vote for their favorite table. Beautiful Tables Showcase 2008 is made possible by our generous sponsors: Homestreet Bank, Mountain View Funeral Home, Rainier Pacific Bank and Law Offices of David Vail.
Individual admission to the event is $10; admission for our members and groups of 10 or more is $5 per person. Groups of 10 or more do require a reservation. Proceeds from this event will support the mission and maintenance of Lakewold Gardens.
